Kolak Apem

Apem is made of white rice flour and yeast. Usually they are sweetened with sugar. But this is an unsweetened  version. They come in plain flavour. Served with sweetened coconut milk. Very comforting food. While others categorized it as dessert, I regard is as main dish.
Although looks so similar to serabi, this one is different from serabi. Serabi is slightly salty.
